What is the Lykos Health Database?
As a breed in development, it's important for us to keep accurate health records on all puppies registered with our association, in order to make future informed breeding choices. We wish to preserve, protect and improve the breed by educating breeders, pet owners and the general public. We wish to also illustrate the breed's outstanding genetic and general health status to date.
The most important goal of the Lykos Health Database is to reduce and prevent incidence of any genetic disease is the breed. The best way to prevent health issues is to know where the problems lie in each dog's pedigree and where any problem may be coming from.
With over 300 dogs registered with the Lykos Wolfalike Council of Australia Inc, the reporting form below provides owners and breeders to submit their dog's (or dogs they have bred) health issues which will be made publicly available on our website.
Health results/issues such as cryptorchidism (one or both undescended testicles in males), allergies, hip or elbow hip scores, or any other medical issue can be reported in this form. This form may not be used to report issues not proven to be genetic in nature.
Information on any dog can only be submitted by, or with the permission of the owner of the dog, breeder, or owner of the sire and/or dam of the dog.
All submissions will be reviewed for obvious errors, to ensure the consistency of the Lykos Health Database.
Information submitted become the permanent property of the Lykos Wolfalike Council of Australia Inc.

The Lykos Health Database is for informational purposes only and is not intended to act in any commercial, professional or legal capacity.
